Context

To manage my project and set up proper risk management and time plans, I wrote a project plan that describes what the project's problem is and how I plan to solve it.

Results

To start off, I wrote a first draft that included the majority of the project plan. I took this draft and went through it with my company supervisor, Robin, to fill in any details that were not clear to me like company info and deployment setup. This became version 1 of the project plan:

Project plan (v1)

I asked Robin to go through the entire plan and asked for feedback before sending the first definitive version to my teacher supervisor. Robin was pleased with the project plan and only had some minor remarks about formulating the problem statement and CI/CD explanation, so I changed these for version 1.1:

Project plan (v1.1)

Version 1.1 was sent to my teacher supervisor, Luuk Derkx, to analyse further and give feedback.

He had a couple of small remarks about information that was missing such as:

  • There was no hard cap for the costs and financing
  • The target audience
  • A research question about which features should be implemented
  • How I am going to validate my user tests (which users are available for testing)

I processed this feedback, and was able to make version 1.2:

Project plan (v1.2)

Conclusion

I was able to write and iterate on a project plan that accurately described the contents of my project.

Final project plan (v1.2.2)

3: Future-Oriented Organisation

By writing this project plan that identifies the project structure and stakeholders, I show that I can plan accordingly and document relevant solutions based on the project's needs.
